Excel 2010 Cannot Open Maximized.

I have got Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit edition and I have installed Microsoft Office 2010 Pro plus. Te problem is I cannot open the Excel workbook which I once saved to get maximized. The Excel will not open to maximize mode even when I set the shortcut default to go maximize. Is this a bug? What is the solution for this problem? Is there a fix/workaround for this?

I also have the same beahviour. Annoying and definitely a bug, in my opinion; Though there is a workaround for this. You will have to edit a bear, You just have to place the following code in PERSONAL.XLSB, in the Workbook and save it:
“Private Sub Workbook_Open() Application.WindowState = xlMaximized
End Sub “
Once you get the save, it is set to maximum size.

It's the presence of a Personal Macro Workbook in C:\Users\< loginame> \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART\ folder (filename = PERSONAL.XLSB). It’s becoz of this file that excel is not opening as I desire. Move that file to another location, Excel will start maximized. It opens in Normal mode if I move it back or create a new one from the Developer tab.
Anyone else can solve this duplicate the same way? If so, then this is definitely a bug. A similar kind of bug was present in Excel 2007, there was a problem when Excel couldn’t close if the file was present in XLSTART folder. It seems MS has traded one bug for another.
