cant install windows installer and itunes

ok so here is deal i installed windows xp and im having issues installing certain things. if i try to install itunes comes up with a installer signature issue, if i try and install windows installer clean up it says policy prevents. i turned of windows intaller did nothing i need some help to fig out what heck going on

What is the service pack that you are using? You have to update your windows to the latest service pack's available on the microsoft page and then use the windows installer to install all of the current updates and it should let you install itunes any version. I had the same issue few min ago and i did all the updates and installed itunes and it works fine.

xp sp3 i did get the istaller cleaner to download but still cant get itunes to istall

This error is due to bad sectors in the hard drive. For that you can provide scan disk check to look for error. Open My Computer and then right click on your C drive. Go to properties and then go in Tools. Then click on Check Now. In the checkboxes choose the partitions and run the screen. After that go in your temp folder. You can go by typing %Temp% in the Start > Run box. Delete all the files from here and clear your recycle bin also.
