How to perform Audacity export format

I recorded reel to reel analog tape and at the moment need to split the track within the songs and after that edit every song. Nevertheless, the only way to perform this seems to be insert points subsequent to labeling for export to a format of multiple non Audacity. Preferably, I would generate a lot of new mini-projects daring - one for every song - however this is not obtainable as an export configure. What is the most excellent and fastest technique to perform this without losing data? Any suggestions?

All you should do is to send out them to a set of WAV records and afterward you would be able to "open" each and every WAV file as a late disconnect Audacity undertaking and independently I could verify that you hold your import inclination set to "Copy In" "the "Safer" alternative. It doesn’t essentially alter the WAV document; rather it imports the WAV file within and makes an Audacity task commencing it. I hope this will help you.

Hello as per my knowledge you have to hold topmost value the same time as altering, go with Audacity set to 32-bit buoy (the default) and for your break WAV exports export them and re-import them as 32-bit WAVs-you would be able to down specimen to 16-digit WAVs in the event that you require those as playable music files later (as the final part of the handling procedure). I hope this information will help you to solve your problem.

Thank you for your answer. I've now attempted the Audacity 1.3.13-Beta form trading to WAV arranges and importing the WAV and recovering to a unique activity as you recommend. The WAV arrange tries not to back some of the metadata so it is lost and needs to be re-information. (I ponder what else gets lost that I don't have prior experience with yet.) The audacity undertaking record gives an advantageous put in which to archive heaps of alternate metadata like artists exhibit, and so on, ., which I would like to preserve.

That's one of the disadvantages of using WAVS - WAV files correctly IIRC not all metadata support at a time and simply limited support, within some cases at the moment. In my opinion, I not at all bother through Audacity metadata in any way. I perform all my capturing and editing Audacity and position the export of WAV files, after that import them into iTunes, exchange to AAC there and handle metadata are within my iTunes. If you be on fire the intermittent CD WAVs metadata possibly will be as functional as a chocolate fire guard in any case.

That would be a technique to perform it, however it seems neat. Most of us catch a side of a disk or tape (or both sides) and then work on it as a project, using point labels to identify the "edge" borders, or labels to identify range complete songs. For starters, I believe that is not documented within the manual. Secondly it does not actually necessitate to be bothered through it in any way. In 1.2, users had to mess through the structure of the project, at what time your computer or Audacity crashed and the project was "lost" and had to obtain manual recovery.

Thanks for your responses. Whether or not present versions of WAV or additional formats support every metadata, Audacity clearly performs it. As a result I perceive the XML file Audacity project as an ideal place within which to store metadata in favor of the long term - that is autonomous of the waveform chosen output data configure. I consider Apple AIFF as well retains additional structure and metadata. All of these formats through minor losses and do not cause damage sound. The dissimilarity is at the edges.
