Media Center crashes when burning - SBEserver

When I try to burn recorded TV shows to a video DVD I get "SBEserver has stopped working" followed by "Media Center Extensibility Host has stopped working." I have uninstalled all other DVD related software (i.e. Pinnacle, Roxio, etc.) yet this still continues. It used to work...

Have you tried burning the recorded TV using Media center in a Clean boot mode. Or you can also try to add the root drive as a folder to watch, follow the below steps:
    1. Install Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate on a computer that has a C drive and a D drive.
    2. Copy some pictures to the root of the D drive.
    3. Start Media Center.
    4. Click Picture Library.
    5. Right-click any image in Picture Library, and then click Library Setup.
    6. Click Add folder to watch, and then click Next.
    7. Click Add folders on this computer, and then click Next.
    8. Click Local drive (D, and then click Next.
    9. Click Finish to complete the Library Setup Wizard.

More information can be found here.

Try to perform a clean boot and see if that works. First log on to your computer with administrator rights. After that click Start and then type msconfig.exe in Search box and then press Enter. A window will pop up, go to the General Tab and then click Selective Startup and then click to clear the Load Startup items check box. Go to the services tab and also click to select Hide all microsoft services check box and then Disable all.

The problem that you are facing could be happening because of any third party CD/DVD burning software installed in your computer. I would recommene you to uninstall any kind of burning software from your computer and then try to see if the error goes away. You can either try to use Windows Media Center to burn DVD's in your computer or one such software that I use which is world famous is Nero software that you can also use.
