How to integrate CRM and ERP

I have recently started studying about the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and so I am having many doubts regarding it. Also I am aware that if the relationship can be optimized to customers with CRM, the CRM software may not lead a life in the island of corporate IT. Only the integration of CRM and ERP systems enables complete visibility to all customer data. But I don't know how to integrate CRM and ERP? So please provide me some solutions that can be useful for me.

ERP and CRM software at fundamentally different tasks. CRM solutions support all business processes in customer-facing front-office. This includes contact management, contact history, sales management and campaign management. With CRM software companies get a panoramic view of their customers. ERP systems support, however, the back office. This is not about selling, but about the operational processes in the background as efficiently. Typical duties of an ERP system is the collection of outputs and imports of goods or the generation of documents such as delivery notes and invoices. Generally is an ERP system to ensure the effective planning and management of all resources of a company. Due to which their business processes smoothly and without media breaks, should work together ERP and CRM systems. Otherwise, do not CRM, ERP does what and vice versa - data gaps and interruption of business processes between front and back end can be the result. For example, a customer's ERP system is only known when it is created in the system. The history takes place in the CRM system, however, unaware of what ERP nothing.

If the contract according to the CRM software is to be extended, the accounting department about it, so that a bill can be made. The ERP software should be informed by the CRM system. But vice versa, must also know the CRM system, if the customer has paid for the service contract. The problems do not occur when CRM and ERP system are integrated. Customer processes and customer relationship management can be handled smoothly and then dovetail better with other business processes. Above all, an integration of both systems encourage cooperation of customer-related areas such as sales and settlement-related areas such as the back office. The coupling of both systems also helps to avoid duplicate data maintenance. Users of a business solution can provide comfortable with information from other data pot. Sets the clerk a new contract to be transferred as the order header data and customer data from the CRM system to the ERP system.

In the ideal case, are key data such as customers, contacts, articles, sales documents and statistics, regardless of where the data storage in a familiar, consistent interface. The integration of CRM and ERP data is done automatically. At the same time can be achieved by the intelligent combination of the two systems to avoid redundant data storage. A synchronization option also ensures that the customer data in both systems are always up to date. This co-CRM and ERP, the business operations and processes be coordinated. Where: The combination of CRM and ERP has on the sales processes and align the software. Requirement for a CRM-ERP integration is therefore a redefinition of business processes and a review of existing data models. Basically, certain data only in the ERP system, others are exclusively stored in the CRM system. For example, you have to specify where to find the address data to or who supervises the payment reminders. Data that will be needed by other system to be exchanged between the two systems via an interface. Normally, the data from potential customers and contacts in the CRM system to be implemented. If such a customer to a real customer data to migrate into the ERP system. Strategically, it must be determined where the cut in the sales process between CRM and ERP is made. Normally, this cut is before or after the offer of concrete: Before placing orders on the CRM system takes the master role, after the order was fixed, the ERP system.

Once data is exchanged, must be determined whether these be transferred only in one direction or in both directions. In this case, one system takes over the master role, in which the data is processed, the other a read-only function. In almost all cases the one-way direction. It is simple and inexpensive to implement, and does not cause operational problems. When bi-directional exchange must be defined, however, what happens in conflicts and simultaneous processing of a record in the ERP and CRM system. It must also be defined, what data are from the customer front-end at which times the ERP backend. In general, the synchronization of ERP and CRM data is a set time, such as at night. Sometimes it makes sense to transfer individual records as job data at your fingertips.

Least problematic is the use of an already integrated all-round system, which dominates both ERP and CRM. Since both ERP and CRM, a software unit is, there are cooperation and data exchange are no complications. The SAP Business One ERP solution, for example, has been a CRM module on board the smaller companies meet, probably. Many other ERP vendors also offer additional CRM modules. The use of separate products from the same manufacturer offers great comfort. Here, without major adaptations processes and data objects under waiver be used across all systems on the development of interfaces. cooperate, even after updates and bug fixes both solutions further complications. Finally, the manufacturer has the responsibility to work together.
