Changing effort hours in project into days and vice versa

I have several MS project files
Some show the effort in days some in hours
Some even show the duration in days and the effort in hours.
Cannot see how to throw trhe switch to change the effort into days
from hours or vice versa.
For this function for the duration there is a macro (under tools/macro/macros/Format_Duration)
I require exactly this sort of function for the effort

I am not sure about the exact solution for that but there is some steps which can help you. You can set the hours and day settings in Microsoft Project so that you can get desired result for that. For this go in Tools and then go in calender. Then in that change the start or end time for the task. Also manage the start and end time. Now to work with hours from here you can fill up the day per hour box.
