Recover document which was downloaded from the Gmail.

I have installed Windows 7 on my computer. Yesterday night I have downloaded a document from my Gmail account. I have worked on it for half hour and saved the same on my computer. Now in today morning when I tried to open the same document I was unable to open the same. Now I am asking to all of you to help me in this particular situation. Please help me out from this particular situation. Thanks a lot in advance.

Well I am unable to figure out why this problem is happening in your case. You have not provided what kind of the file which you have downloaded. Well I want to know whether directly opened the file when it was still downloading. Also I want to know whether you have saved the file in Microsoft word or not. Find the answers of the above mentioned question so that I can figure out the root cause of the problem and answer for the same.

In this situation you have to click on the Start menu of the computer and enter the name of file which you were unable to open in to start search box. You can use the following. You have to launch Microsoft Word on your computer and you have to right click on the Word tab which is located on the task bar. See that whether you can see the file or not. Also you can click on the Office button and see whether you can find the name of file from recent documents list.

Well looking at the situation I am providing following steps which you can use setup auto recovery of the particular documents. You have to click on the Office button of the Microsoft Word and enter in to Word menu.Now go to Advanced Tab. Here you have to check near Always create backup copy. Using this option you will be able to create back ground saves which you can use this file to recover in future.

You can also see in temporary internet files by using following paths.

C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Temp\Temporary Internet Files
