Unable to to play .cda files in Windows 7 RC

I have been using Windows 7 RC from past several days. I assume that you may have heard about this edition. The only problem I am getting here is playing the .cda files from CD or from virtual drive. This problem occurs when I rip or burn the CD/DVD by the use of Power ISO(.bin) and then I mount a file to Virtual drive, I cannot able to play .cda files. Why is this so? What could be the cause? Is there any fix for this issue? I hope that someone got a fix.

The .cda is the format or extension only use by Audio CD’s. By far you are saying that you have ripped the CD using power ISO. But my information says the Power ISO is not a CD ripping application or software. It is only used for copy the CD. In order to play your CD you better try the latest Windows Media Player 12 with all plug-ins. I heard that this new WMP12 plays audio files very accurately.

Despite the fact that characteristically, by default, the CDA system is not between those involuntarily registered for Windows Media Player. There is a method to alter setting and occupy CDAs. Still if you wish to apply a different audio player, I urge you to still attempt this technique to register .cda music file.
    • Go to "Start> "Control Panel."
    • Select "Tools" >"Folder Options." from the toolbar and then click
    • There scroll through "File Types" tab and exploit the scroll bar to place the "CDA" extension and then clack it one time.
    • Observe beneath "Details for 'CDA' Extension" and modify the software it is indexed to unlock through. To perform this, click "Change" and scroll downward to pick Windows Media Player or any other audio player.
    • Now Check the box subsequently to "Always use this selected program to open this kind of file “and select "OK” to accomplish.

As a result of default, Windows Media Player plays CD Audio files (CDA) on a PC with the Windows 7 installed. In excess of time, however, additional programs for instance CD burning programs or further audio or media apps may perhaps modify the defaulting application settings for your version of Windows. Still when these apps are not in operational or installed on the PC, the altered CDA file settings might not permit Media Player to play those audio CDs. Ahead of you can over again play .cda files in Media Player, you should restore the default program settings for those audio files. Luckily, Windows 7 formulates this extremely simple to accomplish.

A .CDA file is a tiny (44 bytes) file produced by Microsoft Windows for every track on an audio disk. The file encloses indexing data that applications can apply to play or split the CD. Cda files are able to be played merely as of a CD-ROM. To analysis a .cda file, moreover seek to play an unusual .cda file from disk or struggle to engage in recreation a .cda file from a dissimilar CD-ROM. The .cda files are images of compact disk audio tracks and do not holds the real pulse code modulation (PCM) stats. You may not be able to play those file if you duplicate a .cda file from the CD to HDD. The .cda file are frequently unlocked by RealPlayer
