Can’t install Visual Studio 2008 on Windows 7

I have on my laptop Windows 7 Enterprise Edition installed in 64 bit which has also worked perfectly! Now as a developer I need Visual Studio 2008 and Visual Studio I've downloaded 2008 x86 from MSDN and have it mounted as an image (UltraISO). When I run the autorun screen come in which I can choose:
    • Visual Studio 2008 install
    • Install product information
    • Service Releases Search

If I now take to install Visual Studio 2008, click it a moment (5s) and then this selection window disappeared, but there is also nothing more. It also runs any setup processes. So I think the setup of our audit or so. Can someone help me? Otherwise, I install XP again because I must develop.

I have the same problem with Windows 7 64bit and Visual Studio. I was not the 64bit version now to install the 32bit version. Now I have already invested more than 2 days in the installation. The Compatibility Mode has brought nothing. Is really difficult. The Visual Studio 2010 I could install, but is crap, I can deliver the software in any way. Installs no one beta versions. I've thought about going back to Windows XP, as this was still the best OS. Windows 7, I think, unlike Vista Class, it is stupid wait, if not run the applications. Other software has problems and crashes so in part. Perhaps more attention should again be placed on functionality rather than security.

I also have the problem - VS 2008 Pro is not easy to install on Windows 7 32bit. After the welcome screen and left click on 'Install' just happens nothing more. Do you have an idea? The above tips I have tested without success. Regarding this if anybody has any secure idea which can fix my issue 100 % then please share it over here. So I will be grateful for you.

Copies times the whole DVD to the hard disk and start the installation from there. I am not able to understand your problems. Have 3 Windows computer 7, which I use, is available on all VS 2008 installed without problems. So whatever I have told you here just try to do that I am sure that you will get solution of your query.

That was the first thing I tried. I could find out but that the MSDN download version of VS 2008 German obviously has a problem. On Windows XP 32Bit, the fact I could not install. I then pulled down the English version that works. The installation of the English version of Windows 7, I'll try it, but I think the problem lies with the faulty distribution of the Visual Studio Professional in the other version.
