    MS-Office Pro Plus 2010 stops at 100%

Hello friends, I was trying to update my install of MS-Office Pro Plus from 2007 to 2010 but it look like to be hanging at 100% and it is showing on the status bar that. The "Installation is starting" window says: "Installing MS-Office Pro Plus 2010..." but it is not using any processor and the installer look likes to be taking 2,959 K RAM. If I attempt to close the window of this installation it asks if that I want to "Cancel" the installation. I really don't know want to do about this problem. So anyone has solution for this problem. Then please reply to my post.

According to your post I believe that the installation is not totally hanging cause it seem to be msiexec.exe is working somewhere away since it is utilizing your physical Memory (RAM). I believe that just wait for a while until that installation window disappears completely and see what happens. Kind of a misleading status bar although if the install still going on. Or may try installing MS-Office 2010 in clean boot & make sure what happens.

Thank you for your suggestion msiexec.exe is not working in any anywhere cause I check task manager but I cannot able to make to where it is. Then I also check in the system registry but there is no indication of the installation is being started or completed. Or also tried the other method but the window never goes and it has remained there for about more than 1 hr. Does anyone have other solution so that I can able to resolve this problem?

I also spent 2 hours before finding a fix that worked very quickly and simply for me. Tried out many times to sort out this problem. This is definitely worth annoying first Here's the procedure on Windows 7 for the MS-Office after pausing / disabling your anti-virus program:
    1. Go to the StartMenu
    2. Select the Devices and Printers option from the menu
    3. Now set the require Default Printer by right clicking the mouse on MS-XPS Document Writer
    4. Close Control Panel
    5. Install MS-Office 2010 setup
    6. See the 'Installation complete" message. I hope this steps may help you to resolve the problem.

What if that is my default printer already? I finally got this program from my work. I need excel 2010 for my class and my assignment is due tomorrow!! My netbook, computers at work, school library, and public library all have 2007 and my mac has 2011. This is so frustrating. I don't know why it won't finish installing!
