But afterward I noticed that the Windows Live One Care is not working properly. So I thought to take some help from your side. Please tell me where I am going wrong? The side of updates, nothing special to note, Windows Live OneCare performs its updates manually or by configuring an automatic check for updates. Each day, Microsoft releases updates for Windows Live OneCare to update the database related to viruses and malware. The firewall in OneCare checks for programs that might try to connect to the Internet. If the program is not listed in the strategy of firewalls, it is blocked and a notification is displayed to the user. In addition, the firewall has a different behavior depending on the type of network you are using (Home Networking, Network audience ...). As with most firewalls you can enable or disable it for a given time. Microsoft has made an effort on the generalized configuration for users without extensive knowledge.
One option is to specify the state (blocking or not) based on an activity (eg Discovery network or using VPN) and network type.

Windows Live OneCare performs a battery of operations during the execution of this function. This is particularly the levels of security software are configured, the memory is optimized to improve the speed of the browser, the search for updates, defragmenting the hard drive and removing unnecessary files (temporary files, and setup file of programs such as ActiveX controls and Java applets) that are part of this function. You can schedule this task to date and time fixed in such a way that the system is frequently subjected to an optimization. Also in this section you can choose to disable some programs that run automatically when you start your computer. You can make backups to external storage devices (HDD, USB ...) or on a network location. This is an important step that can help you avoid losing your data.

Once the backup is complete, the files are compressed and stored in a folder Windows OneCare Backup, they are sorted by computer in the OneCare circle and then by date. You can then restore your files in case of technical problems. There are two types of restoration: The restoration Express only restores missing files, and custom restoration that restores according to the files you have selected in the location you want. Finally, you can store your photos online using OneCare, however this is a paid subscription service. OneCare Circle allows you to protect, monitor and manage up to three computers. With this monitoring tool that you can centralize the backup on one device, share printers and of course monitor the computers of the circle. You can then see if the virus definition is updated, if backups or optimization have been launched and the final launch date. It is therefore an interesting area of supervision that gives an overall appearance of the network. We can still blame it is not possible for a computer on the circle completely delegate its configuration by leaving the computer supervisor configure all of its parameters or forcing the search for update.

Thus, for an annual subscription of euro 49.95 and up 3 computers on a home network, you can be protected interest. Backup functions, and optimization are all essential elements that ensure the future of a system perpetuated. The management of printer sharing is a plus that allows OneCare to be a focal point for home networking. We appreciate in particular the ability to monitor positions using a central station, such as scheduling a backup to a hard drive global network. It is unfortunate that Windows Live OneCare does not offer to give customers a complete configuration with the station supervisor. We must still remember that One Care is a domestic solution and it is not intended to replace the functionality of anti-virus company. Windows Live One Care offers a complete kit of tools is at a price well below its direct competitors, as used on three computers.
