    Top ten defragment software

    I am using computer since last one year previously I was using laptops. Now I want to know some good defragment software. Actually I have used many of them but they were not effective now I want one which is best actually there are many so it is being tough to me to choose from them. Will you please help me to select the best one.Thanks advance.

    I have the list of some of the best software which you are seeking for I think this description will help you to get the solution of the confusion.
    • Here is a program called CONTIG it is developed by Microsoft and Sysinternals and you will download it from the net by free It supports the NTFS files of the operating system also support the platforms of windows XP and its higher version.
    • DEFRAGGLER is software which is developed by Piriform it is also available free on the net for the download. It supports the FAT32, NTFS, exFAT. It supports the platform of windows 2000, XP, server 2003, vista, server 2008, and windows 7.
    • DISKEEPER is developed by Diskeeper Corporation you have to buy this through them. It support the files FAT16, FAT32, NTFS will works on the windows XP platform.
    These are the programs which I know are best I think.

    Commercial: You have to pay certain amount for this software
    • Ashampoo Magical Defrag, developed by Ashampoo GmbH & Co. KG
    • Windows Disk Defragmenter developed by Diskeeper Corporation / Microsoft
    • Norton SpeedDisk developed by Symantec Corporation used for DOS/Microsoft Windows
    • Norton SystemWorks (Speed-Disk) created by Symantec can be used for HFS and HFS plus

    Freeware: - Their open sources are available on their authorized site from where you can download them.
    • Diskeeper Lite which is developed by Diskeepr Corporation
    • Disk Tune it is developed by DIY Data Recovery
    • Page Defrag by Sysinternals and Microsoftwhich is support for Windows NT/XP
    • Quicksys Disk Defrag it is created by Quicksys.
    • Smart Defrag developed by IObit
    • Wincontig developed by mdtzone

    In my experience, it is the best by far since not only is it fully automatic but also prevents a lot of the fragmentation from occuring in the first place. Any defragger that minimizes the need for a defrag is easily the best.
