    Outlook on Communications Server "14"

    The key new features include the internal search for experts in SharePoint, the effective collaboration via desktop and application sharing and access to virtual meetings with one click using Outlook, SharePoint and Smartphone. All communication functions are now integrated directly into any application, employees use daily. This improves the communication of Microsoft people at all times and everywhere and not replace other forms of communication.


    Microsoft Communications Server "14" offers complete presence information including pictures and instant messaging, conferencing and comprehensive telephony features on a single, easy-to-use interface that is identical to a PC, browser and phone. This provides users, for example, in a view PowerPoint, round table and instant messaging. About the new Communications Server and the communication with users of Windows Live Messenger via high-quality audio transmission and high-definition video.

    • More effective cooperation through PowerPoint upload and comprehensive whiteboard functions, including copy and paste images and other content
    • Virtual participants to lobby for increased security and access control
    • Use of many IP and USB devices to work in the office, at home and away
    • High availability through data center resiliency and robust applications for branches
    • Better management of bandwidth usage and increase the transmission quality by call admission control, QoS marking and an adaptable media stack that in unmanaged networks like the Internet works.
    • Silverlight-based, unified graphical management tool
    • Support for server virtualization across all roles
    • Easy integration with Communicator interface elements in applications and their own clients .NET with open, published interfaces and expansion of contextual collaboration by launching applications directly from the Communicator out
    • Platform support for call center and help desk, access to all Unified Communications Services from any phone and voice technology in 26 languages
    • Significant simplification of deployment, operation and interoperability through better allocation, load balancing, failover, and deletion

    It's immense to see the product out there at the moment, and even better for our individuals around the company that have wanted to show it more openly to their customers. Microsoft Communications '14 ' really delivers on that undertake of a more connected experience for people that want to hang about plugged in to what's going on, even when they are not there. The new collab experience is great. Having PowerPoint, the round table analysis, and IM all in one view is enormous.
