    Loud 58 db

I know that i am asking this question in the windows software category but anyways that is not more important as you guys must be having some informations about my question as it is just about the sound's DB limit. What can i compare with the sound of 58 DB air purifier. Would it be very much annoying.

Sound level dependence in dB, the corresponding Factors and the measurement and valuation of personal feeling. In most cases, it is not about music but about noise. This is not easy to understand : There is the "perceived " volume and the artificial concept of loudness and measured on a microphone to audio voltage proportional to the sound pressure and the sound intensity to be calculated or the sound power.

When entering the decimal Point to use . Volume is not the same as the intensity! Aha! The factor in the mathematics part of a product . One factor is the x- fold on a basic amount. The amplitude of the sound wave is the change of sound pressure, when the wave passes by. On the relation between sound and loudness, there are several theories. Far spread is still the theory of psycho -acoustic pioneer Stanley Smith Stevens, indicating that double or half the loudness sensation of a level difference of 10 dB.

About 20 db is unreasonable. If you have 3 or 4 20 db fan in the housing plus Graphic card and power supply, then the volume adds up quite nicely , although everyone would hear hardly alone . There are beautiful Papst fans with only 12db. Overclocking etc. may of course forgotten. But the media is ( almost) nothing. Especially the Pope , however, are quite expensive.

We see that the multiplication operation of the power corresponds to an addition to the calculation of the level. The ear has a dynamic (operating range ) 120 to 130 dB ( to be 1 to 10 W / m² ). The examples below are only of relative because in one place the noise level may vary large proportions. However they allow to get a idea.
    130 dB Jet take-off a distance of 25m
    120 dB : thunderclap close
110 dB : train passing nearby
100 dB: boiler shop in full operation
90 dB : noise of heavy traffic
80 dB: busy street , meeting room
    70 dB : inside a moving train
    60 dB : conversation
    50 dB : normal apartment
    40 dB : quiet outside , country
30 dB apartment in quiet area
20 dB : outside very quiet
    10 dB : recording studio
0 dB : threshold of audibility
