Extract software new sony format image

I am having the Sony VAIO VGN-430N/B and Windows Vista was preinstalled on this laptop. I want to extract the software which is in the recovery disks. I am using the ".pac" extractor" it does not seems to be working as it shows that an images in the disk are not .pac files. Can anybody tell me that how can i extract the .pac files?
