I recently was reinstalling windows vista onto my computer. During installation there was a power cut and installation was stopped mid way through.
When i rebooted i was faced with a message that BOOTMGR is not found.
Not being a complete computer incompetent i tried to boot off the vista discs to reinstall.
The problem is that my computer does not recognise any discs in the drive and the only explanation i can see is that required files for the disc drive have been corrupted or deleted.
As well as this, i do not think that BOOTMGR is the only required file for vista that is missing or corrupted.
Is this fixable with Vista discs by myself or do i need to seek proffesional help?
Any other advice or analysis is welcome
thank you
