To burn an ISO image, you need a CD or DVD burning software that can allow you to write to disk. Several applications are available for disc burning in Windows as ISO Recorder and Express Burn. The program most commonly used is Nero for burning data discs, audio and multisession and bootable CDs. I think it would be better to use a Third party applications for burning iso files.

To burn an ISO image using Nero, you must take the steps listed below. Install Nero on your system. The trial version is available from free download sites.
    • Open Nero. In the menu, click File, then choose Burn Image.
    • Choose the image you want to burn. If you can not find the image, click the drop down menu under File Name and select All Files.
    • Finally, click Burn. If a dialog box appears, it is NOT advisable to change any settings.

Many people fail to burn an ISO image, or do not know that there is a difference between burning a file, and a CD image. They are wrong, and serious and a CD for nothing, because it unusable. Others do well by thinking extracting the files it contains. This is a serious mistake because this kind of file contains important information for engraving. For them it is better to the Nero or Imgburn application to burn all your image or iso files on windows 7.

In simple words i would list the process to burn iso image in few steps which are mentioned below:

    1) Buy or download free burning software.
    2) Install the downloaded burner application on your system.
    3) Initialize or start it by double clicking the icon on the desktop.
    4) Select the option "Burn Image to Disk" or "Burn ISO image".
    5) Select your image and your drive.
    6) Finally click Burn button to start the burning process and wait till your cd or dvd is ejected automatically.

    That's all! Finished!
