Removing Audio from Video in iMovie

I have a video file that I record on my video digital cam. I need only the video not the audio. I am using the iMovie on this project. If there is a way to do this. How to extract video and remove the audio? Any idea? Please reply. Thanks in advance.

You need to ensure that no time line will be set to mute the audio track. IMovie window by clicking on the clock button to switch the timeline view. In the iMovie window, the sound icon on the right side there are three check boxes under. These check boxes corresponding to the video track and two additional audio tracks. Make sure that all three selected tracks. No track selected was set to mute. If you are using iMovie 3 or above, then please see the "Edit Volume" option to see if select it. If selected, then please ensure that the affected volume of the video clip is not set to the lowest, or uncheck the "Edit Volume" option.

The best method for extract the clean audio track that is Quicktime Pro. You need to just open your video file in there. The go to Window > Show Movie Properties. Then pick the audio track in the top and hit "Extract". It will make a original QT window with your audio track. From here you can either save it, or export it in a different format.

You can also click on the row in the cut itself - this allows you to alter the volume levels several times within a clip. The yellow ball wheel both the end volume level and at what tip this volume is reached. The purple box controls alike functions for the start of the volume change. Move both around until you are content with the original sound of the clip, then click exterior the clip to "set" the change. With this done, you can tick on different points in the clip again to make additional adjustments. If you want to unbutton your changes, also use the "Edit" and "Undo" option at the summit of the screen or grip the purple ball of each volume tuning on the clip and drag it back to the innovative sound level.
