Open Two Excel Files in Multiple Monitors in Windows 7

Hello all, I have installed Windows 7 premium version on my pc and it runs quite smoothly. I have installed the Microsoft office 2007 version on my pc. As I am not a guru in Excel I was wondering that can anyone please tell me how to open two Excel Files in Multiple Monitors in Windows 7. I dont know what I am doing but on the same monitor it usually opens multiple files. Any advice?

You can try to open 2 excel file sheets in one excel instance only. After that you have to choose from the tab called "view" and click the "all window" option and after selecting that, you will be able to see all the open windows appearing next to each other. If you can try to make the Excel instance look big on the desktop across 2 monitors, you would be able to see both the excel files in one instance.

I think that you are talking about an extended desktop that you assumed as 2 monitors. What you need to do is start excel for the first time and then open 1 single sheet and move the window to the first screen of the monitor. After that you need to start another excel instance and then try to move the worksheet and move it to the right sheet because you will only be able to move a sheet monitor when its size if not on full screen.

If you want to open all Excel files in separate windows then there is way to do it in Excel 2007 in a very simplfied manner. You will need to access this settings and to do so first open excel, then click the office button and click on the options of excel which might be at the bottom right side of the menu displayed. On the left you will have to select advanced and then scroll down to Display. From their you just have to select the Show All Windows in Taskbar and click ok and thats it, its done.

Nineth, Where is says "Application used to perform action:"

    If not already there, add:
    /e "%1"

It is very simple to view Two Excel Spreadsheets on My Two Monitors:
    • You need to first open Excel and access the file you want to retrieve the data from.
    • Then place the open Excel file on the monitor of your choice.
    • Afterwards, open the Excel program again from your desktop or the Start menu and drag the newly opened version of Excel to the monitor not currently taken.
    • Now, just access the Excel file you wish to enter data into in the newly opened copy of Excel.

    Hope that helps.
