Flight Simulator X Delux Edition Installation Problem

When I place Disc 1 in the DVD drive - Nothing happens. Absolutely zero. When I proceed to "My Computer" to attempt a 'read' of the disk my PC freezes to the extent that all icon disappear & the only way I can eject the disc is via paper clip into the manual ejection hole of the DVD drive. After that I have to manual power down to recover use of my keybrd. Help please!!

The problem could basically be with the DVD rom that you use or the disc that is been inserted. It is very much possible that the disc been corrupt may read and error and hence the system freezes. Or do check out the disc on other system. If it works fine the then the optical drive has some issue.
