What are Document Assembly and Document security supported in the Open XML Format?

    Hi friends,
Well, I want information about document assembly and document security that are used in Microsoft Office. The document assembly and document security are supported by an Open XML Format. Please describe what are Document Assembly and Document security supported in the Open XML Format? Since I am new to this topic, the detailed information would be much grateful.!!

One of the features most requested by developers has long been the ability to create Office documents on a server without having to resort to automation own Office applications. Organizations that need to generate complex documents, with advanced data management, or assembling documents in mass quantities want more efficient processing for this purpose with Office programs. Technically, the Office programs are not designed and are not supported for execution on a server.

In versions of Microsoft Office 2003, the introduction of XML document formats that could be generated following the XML Reference Schemas for Office 2003 helped partially solve this limitation. Any technology capable of assembling XML can create a Word or Excel document while respecting the Office Schemas. A huge breakthrough at the time that, unfortunately, can only be applied to Excel and Word, and only the latter application provides full fidelity in its support for XML file format. Microsoft Office 2007 continues this effort, adding PowerPoint to the list of applications using XML file formats and ensuring fidelity to the content stored as XML in this application and Excel, after a thorough review of each of the functionalities supported in the Open XML Format.

In many organizations there are lots of PowerPoint files capable of reuse. But often users get slides from existing presentations to create new ones. The location, coordination and integration slide is a process that usually takes time, highly redundant, that many organizations would like to automate more quickly to generate customer presentations. With Office 2007 individual slides within a PowerPoint presentation can be used directly, since each one is contained within their own XML part within the presentation container package. A tailored solution could exploit this architecture to totally automate the assembly process presentations. Custom XML could be used to maintain metadata specific to each slide, making it easier for users to work search using predefined keywords. When the user selects a slide, the solution would insert his hand inside the XML presentation being assembled and generate a corresponding relationship.

Security is increasingly important in information technology. The Open XML format allows developers to a higher level of security when working with office documents and create solutions where document security is essential. With the Open XML format can create solutions to identify and eliminate known or potential vulnerabilities before they can cause harm. For example, a company needs a solution to prepare documents either for storage in a document file where custom code should never run, or to send documents to customers free of macros. You can create an application that removes all VBA code in the body of Office documents inside browsing and eliminating the parties declared [VBAProject.bin] and their relationships.

Unfortunately, the code within the documents is not the only potential safety risk to be taken into account. It may avoid the risks inherent in binary objects such as OLE objects or even images, locating them within Office documents and removing the exposure points are detected. For example, if a specific OLE object is identified as a known hazard, using a utility could locate and remove or quarantine submit all documents containing that object. Similarly, any external reference introduced in Office 2007 document can be identified quickly, and from there, decide if external resources referred to are safe or corrective measures should be applied.
