Ms Project 2007 Export And Data Field Format

    Hello

I am trying to export from Project 2007 to Excel in pivot table format.

The export works except that the data for my cost field is set to 0 during the export. It looks like the field is set to "Text" and therefore Excel cannot handle doing a sum on it.

How can I set up my field definition in Project so that the field is recognised as a number and exports correctly?

    Thanks for any advice

    Hello,
    Just follow these steps

    - Click on the save as
    - check the file location
    - save the file as a web page
    - just save the file and now start export wizard
    - using the standard template, just export it to html
    - now browse the file where you have saved
    - change the extension to .xls from .html
    - the file will now open it in excel format have a table
