    How to create a bulleted or numbered list in Word?

    Hi friends,
    I am new user for the MS Word. I am using the computer from long time but to play games and watch movies. Now i have decided to learn something about the Microsoft Office. I know about the saving and editing the documents that are present in the MS Word. I want to create a bulleted or numbered list for better look. But I don't know how to do it.!! Please explain me how to create a bulleted or numbered list in Word?

    To add bullets or numbers to a list of existing text elements, follow these steps :
    1. Start Word and open your document.
    2. Select the list items that you want to add bullets or numbers.
    3. In the toolbar in shape, do one of the following :
      • Click the Bullets button if you want to add bullets.
      • Click the Numbering button if you want to add numbering.

    You can use a list format bulleted or numbered to add bullets or numbers to a list of existing text elements. To do this, follow these steps :
    1. Start Word and open your document.
    2. Select the list items that you want to add bullets or numbers.
    3. In the Format menu, click Bullets and Numbering, and then do one of the following :
      • Click on the tab with chips if you want to add bullets.
      • Click on the numbers if you want to add numbering.
    4. Click on the format bulleted or numbered desired, then click OK.

    If you have not started a list, you can create a bulleted or numbered list automatically as you type. To do this, follow these steps :
    1. Start Word and open your document.
    2. Do one of the following methods, depending on your version of Word :
      • In Word, click AutoCorrect on the Tools menu, then tab AutoFormat during the strike.
      • In Word, click AutoCorrect Options on the Tools menu and then click the AutoFormat during the strike.
    3. Under Apply as you type.
    4. Press the space bar.
    5. Type your text and press ENTER.
    6. Repeat step 6 to create additional list items.
    7. To finish the list, press ENTER twice.

    To create an outline numbered list, follow these steps :
    1. Start Word and open your document.
    2. In the Format menu, click Bullets and Numbering, then click the tab.
    3. Select any list style in the top row and then click OK.
    4. Type your text in the list, be sure to press ENTER after each item.
    5. To move a numbered item to the level of your choice, do one of the following :
      • To demote an item at a lower level, select the item, then click Increase Indent.
      • To promote an item to a higher level, select the item, then click Decrease Indent.

    To create a bulleted list command, follow these steps :
    1. Start Word and open your document.
    2. In the Format menu, click Bullets and Numbering, then click the tab.
    3. Select any list style in the top row and then click Customize.
    4. In the level, click 1.
    5. In the style, select an existing chip or click on new chip to select the desired chip.
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to add additional levels to your list. Select a different level and one bullet for each level of your list.
    7. Click OK.
    8. Type your text in the list, be sure to press ENTER after each item.

    The item is moved to the level you specify, and the chip appropriate for this level is inserted at the beginning of the line.
