You have to use following steps to fix this problem.
    First go to following location.
    hd.>usrs>Library>photos-my photos
Now try to look out for iphoto library. Now just drag it to your desktop. It will reload iphoto automatically. After this just double click on it, to open the iphoto.

I think you have to use following two steps to fix this problem.
    1. First try to remove iPhoto's cache from your computer. You can get this at following location.
    ~/Library/Caches/...

2.You have to rename your iPhoto library folder to fix this problem.

I hope one of them will help you.

You have to update your iPhoto software to fix this problem. You can do this in the following ways.
    1. From the Apple menu, choose Software Update.
    2. Software Update checks for available updates. In the Software Update window, select the items you want to install, then click Install. Usually, you should install all available updates. (Mac OS X v10.3 only: Click the Check Now button.)
    3. Enter an administrator account name and password.
    4. After installation is complete, restart the computer if required.

You have to rebuild the iPhoto library to fix this problem. You can do this in the following ways.
    1. Quit iPhoto if it is open.
    2. For iPhoto 2, hold down the Shift and Option keys on the keyboard.
For iPhoto 4 and iPhoto 5, hold down the Command and Option keys on the keyboard.
    3. Open iPhoto.
    4. Keep the keys held down until you are prompted to rebuild the library.
    5. Name and save the library.
