OneNote 2007 supports a variety of methods to import information into your notes. You can add documents and files. You can also paste the screen shots from other programs. Another way to import information is to use the printer driver is automatically installed with OneNote 2007. The printer driver lets you send information to a computer file to a page in your OneNote notebook as if you were "printing" the information to this page instead of sending a real printer.

Re: How to import and export information in OneNote?

To import or "print" a document or a file in OneNote this way, follow these steps :
    1. Open the document or file that you want to import into OneNote in the program in which it was created. For example, to open Word document files and Microsoft Excel for Excel workbooks.
    2. In the File menu, click Print.
    3. In the Print dialog box, click Send to OneNote 2007 as a printer, then click OK.

Some programs do not follow instructions for Microsoft Windows interface. Therefore, print commands may have different names and may be several places described in these steps.

Re: How to import and export information in OneNote?

In OneNote 2003, there is no import feature for other programs. To import content from other programs into OneNote 2003, you can use a copy-paste operation. In OneNote 2003 SP1, you can import content of documents and other files using Microsoft Document Imaging (MDI). You can not import ink content log in Windows 2003 from OneNote. You can copy and paste the log contents in Windows OneNote 2003 as a picture, but you can not change the content of ink and you can not search or use other features for handwriting in OneNote 2003 with content. You can convert the ink into text in Windows Journal and paste the text in OneNote 2003.
