The default template (Normal.dot), based on new documents that contain unwanted content. Delete the default template (Normal.dot), so that Word automatically creates a new default template (Normal.dot "can create new).
    1. Quit Word.
    2. In the Finder: / Users / username / Library / Application Support / Microsoft / Office / User Templates, and then drag the file "Normal.dot" in the trash.
    3. When you open Word the next time it starts a new default template (Normal.dot ") is created. In this new template-based documents are blank.
    4. Note The term used in new documents based on the format defined in a template settings. If you use any other template, the settings for new documents are based on the Normal.dot

When you open Word or click New Blank Document, Word creates a new document based on the Normal.dot Based. You can also create a document based on existing templates. You can edit any template to change its formatting or content.

    • The following items can be defined in a template:
    • Text format, such as Font, font size, font style and font color
    • Paragraph formatting, such as Alignment, indentation, spacing, and line and page breaks
    • Document formatting, such as Margins, layout options, paper size and page orientation
    • Styles
    • Text, images or other graphical elements such as borders and shading
    • AutoText entries
    • Custom toolbars, menus and keyboard shortcuts

Included with Microsoft AutoUpdate for Mac (included) from the Microsoft Office, you can automatically keep software up to date. If Auto Update is set to daily, weekly or monthly basis will automatically check for updates, you need not go to the search for critical updates and information, for AutoUpdate delivers them directly to your computer.

    1. Click the Help menu, click Check for Updates.
    2. Under Select an option to search for software updates from the Automatic option.
    3. Click the popup menu Check for updates on the frequency with which AutoUpdate will check for new updates.

If auto-update will not be displayed automatically when new updates are available, select Select an option to search for software updates manually from the option.
