How to convert xvid form a apple tv

I want to convert some videos of apple tv to a divx format or wmv. I have a player which support wmv format and divx too. So I want to watch them in the player. How to do that. Is there any service in the computer which is already available and the main thing is that my dashboard works very slow. How to speed up the same. What can I do to increase the speed of the same.

In view of the fact that the video files must be companionable with Apple TV your going to have to exchange or translate those xVid, DivX and WMV into the proper format. If you have moderately a few of them on your hard drive then it can be a pretty cumbersome task; unless you make use of the great little tool called Automator.

If you do not know, Automator was urbanized by Apple to make constructing scripts as easy as potential. Whats even better is there is a huge group of people that generates the scripts for you so all you have to do is download them and run them. This Automator work flow will let you drop your movie files into a nominated folder and it will mechanically compress and convert using Quicktime, and then import into iTunes so that you can stream them over to your AppleTV.

Every widget will generate a folder on your system that is fundamentally a cache of data made to make dashboard more rapidly, but this is essentially what can cause it to slow down over time. This can be for more than a few or numerous dissimilar reasons such as the folder becoming distended with too much data, or a dishonesty of some type. OS clearing or removing then keep some speed.

For the speeding of the dashboard you can have a two quick way or a easy step. First you have to go to YourUserFolder/Library/Caches/DashboardClient, once there you will find a cluster of indiscriminate folders. Remove everything in the Dashboard Client folder. Then you have to open up Terminal (located in the Applications folder) and type "killall Dock" without the quotes. Dashboard to restart and should give you much quicker results when pulling up the dashboard.

Once you do drag up dashboard for the first time, it may appear a bit slow. This is due to the widgets having to rebuild the folders that you just removed so they can begin generating their cache again. This is normal so do not worry if it takes a few seconds to look like it usually or generally does. If you are anxious about removing files and folders that you do not know what they do, then just doing step 2 can also help speed up the dashboard spectacularly if you are running a important number of widgets. Whether you do one or both of these steps you will positively see an increase in your dashboard’s speed.
