I am a tech and am quite frustrated with large file transfer with win7 32 & 64 bit on multiple machine. Machines all have quad core 2 or i7s and asus or evga motherboards. The common denominator is issues transferring files over 400-500megs especialy video files in the 4gig range from one internal drive to another on the same machine or thru the network to a different machine. Results, a locked up machine. Differential compression turned off, auto-tune turned off, even tried turning off write caching in safe mfde. All of this with no major gains. The only way I get any backups is through a external drive with esata or usb. I'm wondering if this is an intel sata issue as my esata is Jmicron instead of intel. I'm wondering if this is the issue. Possible putting in a raid card and bypassing the whole sata mess on these boards. ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated
