    Problem using color selector in ms paint

    I have a compaq presario laptop with windows Vista installed. I am getting a typical problem with the color selector in ms paint. whenevr i choose the color selector and try to use it on some part of the picture i get the color 1 but i am unable to see the color 2. Can any one explain me what is the actual problem behind this error and how to solve it.

    Never heard of such problems before but it appears as a bug to me. For providing some solution on this issue i would like to get some more information about this problem. Please try to explain this problem in your further replies quiet more deeply. Also please tell me what does the color selector actually does.

    Sounds like your system is affected by a virus or two. Firstly i would recommend you to install an updated version of antivirus and then scan the whole system using the antivirus and if it detects a threat then delete these threats and reboot the machine i thin the problem will definitely get solved all the best.

    Appears as your system has been corrupted due to a malicious program and hence i would suggest you to repair your system using the recovery discs and then check whether your problem is solved or not if the problem persists still then you can try to take online help from the microsoft 's official website.

    I think that you are not using the color selector properly there is some thing wrong in your procedures please follow the steps below

    * Select the Color Picker and Click Color 1..
    * Select a color from the Pallette and Select Color 2.
    * Select the second color from the Pallette.
    * Select a Brush from the Brushes drop down.
    * When you use the left Mouse Button, you will get Color 1.
    * When you use the Right Mouse Button, you will get Color 2.

    For solving this problem follow the steps below
    * Click Start and then click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then press ENTER.
    * After this try to locate the following registry key
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Applets\Paint
    * Right-click the registry key, and then click Delete.
