Home folder in MAC

Where is the user folder located in MAC OS X. Like in Windows we have a user account folder in the C drive where does the same located in this operating system. And what options does mac gives to backup my music and other files in it. How to activate the same. I have copied some bunch of photos. I heard that MAC has an service which can enable to see the images without opening how to access that.

In the Mac on the home you can see all the personal data of yours. Even the documents like download, music and more. when you set up your Mac it will create it on the home folder. And you can easily find the folder which you want. You will have a house icon with your account name. You can place it on the Dock in this way you can open quickly without opening the other folders.

You can also have a back up of your music, photos, and the documents. In this the Time machine is the better application for the back up and which is the part of the Mac OS X leopard. If you want to use this machine, you have to connect the external hard drive to your computer. When you connect it it will ask for the back up location you have to just go to the Apple menu from the system preferences, then select the time machine icon and choose the back up disc.

With the help of the time machine toggles you can change the image of the back up disc. And you can indicate for the next. If you want a good result then use a drive which should be accepted by the Mac startup drive. It will be better that you should not store unwanted data in your time machine drive so that you will have a good space to backup your files.

You can also activate the screen saver quickly on your home folder. You have to find a selective corner where you can have a screen saver start when you move the mouse in that corner. Select the Apple menu, move to the desktop and screen saver. Then go to the screen saver tab and choose the screen saver option and select the hot corner button. You can indicate the corner by the pull down menus.

You can also find the photo very fast without opening it on the time. For this you can have the help of the Quick look. It is a new feature in the leopard. It help to browse the files of the photo, documents, movies etc. And you do not have to open any application on the computer. It will directly open the photo which you have selected.
