Identifying common data in an excel sheet

In my Excel sheet column A, column B and column C have some data in it. I want to capture the data which is common and put the same into another column as shown under Result column in this following example. I am currently using the office 2007.
    A B C D
    data 1 data 2 data 3 Result
    Bulb Cap Pipe Bulb
    bat bat Cap Cap
    Pipe Bulb bat Pipe
    ball ball ball bat
    Chair Mat Chair ball
    Mat Chair Mat Chair
    Cap Pipe Bulb Mat

please guide me in this matter?

Actually i am unable to understand what you want

    A B C D
    data 1 data 2 data 3 Result
    Bulb Cap Pipe Bulb
    bat bat Cap Cap
    Pipe Bulb bat Pipe
    ball ball ball bat
    Chair Mat Chair ball
    Mat Chair Mat Chair
    Cap Pipe Bulb Mat

If we consider the first row there are no common items but the Bulb is listed in the result column.
similarly the in the next row bat appears twice but the result column shows cap.
in the fourth row the result column shows bat but the ball appears thrice in the row.
Please convey your message properly i cannot understand what are you trying to say.

Anyway thanks for replying . Firstly I could resolve this issue usimg the Advanced filter option in data. As far as my example is concerned please read it column wise and not row wise. The data1,data2 and data3 are columns . I want the last column as result as i had shown it in the example. Any help in this regard would be appreciated

I think tou are looking for data which are common but you want the result in different column. I think if you stick to the bottom fo each column for the result it would make more sense. in the exanple above you have 7 results for 3 columns. Try to make your point more clear since i am not getting it clearly or are you looking to list the unique values. Reading the result column, column-wise does not make any sense to the problem.

I am also unable to understand your goal. please make it clear the first value in the result column is 'bulb'. When i tried to understand your logic i can't understand why the 'CAP' is not appearing first although its the first value to repeat itself.
