    Permission problem in Acronis True Image Home 2010

    Hi, I have installed Windows 7 operating system on my computer and whenever I try to install Acronis True Image Home 2010 it gives me the error message as follows:

    Could not open key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{C539A15
    B-3AF9-4c92-B771-50CB78F5C751}\Implemented
    Categories\{00021490-0000-0000-C000-000000000046). Verify
    that you have sufficient access to that key. or contact your support
    personnel.


    What does it mean. Please help me in this case. I am not able to solve this problem. Please help me.

    Hello, I am also getting the same problem as you. When I try to install Acronis True Image Home 2010 it gives me same error as you are getting as follows. Exact same, no change.

    Could not open key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{C539A15
    B-3AF9-4c92-B771-50CB78F5C751}\Implemented
    Categories\{00021490-0000-0000-C000-000000000046). Verify
    that you have sufficient access to that key. or contact your support
    personnel.

    I also not able to trace it yet. If you able to find the reason give me that solution, so I also able to solve this problem. Please, help me also, if anyone having solution.

    Hi, I donl't know I am right or wrong but the error message which you specified is as follows:

    Could not open key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{C539A15

    Categories\{00021490-0000-0000-C000-000000000046). Verify
    that you have sufficient access to that key. or contact your support
    personnel.

    By going through this error message, I come to know that the current user is not having full permission to access the registry key. So, just take the ownership of he registry and then try to install the software. To do so use the following steps:
    • Search for "regedit.exe" and Run as administrator.
    • Go to the following key path:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{C539A15B-3AF9-4c92-B771-50CB78F5C751}\lmplemented Categories\{00021490-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
    • Right click the {00021490-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} entry and then choose "Export", select "Desktop" in the "Save in" box and type "backup" in "File Name". Click "Save".
    • Right click on the {00021490-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} entry and choose Permissions.
    • Highlight "Administrators" and check on "Full Control" under "Accept".
    • Click the "Advanced" button and choose the "Owner" tab.
    • Highlight the current user account in the list and check on "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects".
    • Click on OK.
    • Now install the software.

    Hi, I think the steps given below will solve your Permission problem in Acronis True Image Home 2010. As I have solve it by using it. So just follow it and then install the software.
    1. Open registry editor.
    2. Go to the below mentioned path:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{C539A15 B-3AF9-4c92-B771-50CB78F5C751}\lmplemented Categories\{00021490-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
    3. Right click on {00021490-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} entry and then choose "Export", select "Desktop" in the "Save in" box and type "backup" in "File Name". Click "Save".
    4. Right click on the {00021490-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} entry and choose Permissions.
    5. Select "Administrators" and check on "Full Control" under "Accept".
    6. In advanced menu select "Owner" tab.
    7. Highlight the current user account in the list and check on "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects".
    8. Click on OK.
    9. Again click on OK.
