xls files won't open

I have created a file in Excel 2003 which consist of some images and text in it, everything works fine on my computer, today when i try to open the same file on my brother laptop, xls file won't get open got open, ater trying many times i was able to see text on it but the images where not getting displayed and after some time a message box pop ups that Data may have been lost. Does anyone facing such kind of issue ?

I was also not able to open xls file in Excel 2007, i tried to find over internet but was not able find any solution for it, when i told my friend about the issue he told me to Open the same file in Excel 2003 over there you will find an Repair Option, try to repair your excel file and then open it, it had worked for me, now you should be able to open the file on laptop.

Thanks for replying me Pauline, i have try to repair my excel file but still i am not able to open the same file in Office 2007, can anyone tell me how to overcome from this issue, for more information i am facing this issue when i am trying to open the file in Office 2007 or else it's working fine.

Try to open the file on another system who is having Office 2007, if you are able to open it then it seems that Office 2007 had gone corrupted, reinstalling Office would solve your problem. If not then there would be some other issue try to recreate the same file in Office 2007, hope this would solve your problem.
