    System Recovery Options

I attempted to turn on my Acer Aspire 4520 today and it came on and suggested system start up repair. I attempted to run it, but there is nothing listed int the system recovery options box. I click next and attempted to do a startup repair with no sucess it just tells me to contact the manufacture. I have tried everything multiple times. If I open up the command prompt and enter C: it says that the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. What do I do next?

Thank you very much for your time.
