    Can't open .mod file

    hi
    i am having new mac os x with mac pro 13 now i found some video files that mostly from my friends camcorders but i am not able to open it so please help to open it also tell me the way to convert it to other format .

    Install Cyberlink PowerDirector.CyberLink PowerDirector 8 offers more video enhancement and editing tools, designer tools and more time line tracks to let you create great videos

    1. Open PowerDirector
    2. Import .MOD files.
    3. add the files to the timeline i
    4. timeline will setup Click Produce
    5. Save
    6. Select .AVI or .MPG format

    .MOD is a computer file format used primarily to represent music, and was the first module file format. MOD files use the .MOD file extension.MOD video files are nothing but MPEG-2 files with AC3 audio.so i thing mpegconverter can help you better to convert it to any other video format. also Magic video converter is one of the best option.
