RE: VISTA HOME PREMIUM SPL2 64 BIT

I downloaded a movie from ZML and when I try to watch the preview I get the message "WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER HAS STOPPED PLAYING" although it wasn't playing at all!

I downloaded it again and tried to install it it won't let me - claims newer version already installed. When I go into details of the message, the 2nd item listed says "app\crash". Now what?

The best way for you is to download the re-install the application again. You can download the same from Microsoft site. First uninstall the old version completely so that there must not be any system conflict. To do this click on Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove program. Uninstall from the list. Download K-Lite Codec pack and install it with Media Player.

There in lies the problem. WMP is not accessible in Add/Remove. I've downloaded a new verisionof WMP 11 but the program will not let you install as long as there's still anything of the original install on board!

The problem is may be due to corrupt operating system that may be due to virus or any application that you recently installed or uninstalled unsuccessfully so use cc cleaner to clean out files and use updated antivirus to scan your pc .
