How to remove favorite folders from Outlook 2003

I am using outlook 2003, can any tell me how to remove favorite folders from Outlook 2003? Favorites Folder in my outlook 2003 doesn't show any option to delete ...Does anyone know what causes this issue and how to fix it?Any help will be extremely appreciated.

You can remove any or all of the individual folders from the Favorite Folders list to reduce both the length of the list and the size of the panel.

• In Favorite Folders, right-click the folder that you want to remove, and then click Remove from Favorite Folders on the shortcut menu.
• Repeat step 1 for each folder that you want to remove.
• Folders in Favorite Folders must be removed individually.
• Removing the folders from Favorite Folders does not remove them from the All Mail Folders list.

You should be able to remove the items in the Favorite Folders folder by Removing all items from 'Favorites Folder'; Add your 'Inbox' to the 'Favorites Folder' again; Click on the 'Folder List' icon in your 'Navigation Pane'.

To remove favorite folders outlook 2003 right-click on the Favorite Folder you would like to remove, after righting clicking you need to click on Remove from Favorite Folders.This favorite folder has been removed, but it is still accessible in the folder tree, as any other regular email folder. The default folders will be in the Favorite Folders after renaming the .xml file.

Solution:
1) Remove all items from 'Favorites Folder';
2) Add your 'Inbox' to the 'Favorites Folder' again;
3) Click on the 'Folder List' icon in your 'Navigation Pane'.

This will remove your 'Favorites Folder'.
