Cannot insert object in excel 2007

I have recently upgraded to Office 2007, whenever i am trying to insert any object i am getting an error message as PRB: Error Message "Cannot insert object" in Excel for this same reason i have upgraded my Office from 2003 to 2007 but still getting same message. Can anyone tell me what should i do to overcome from this error message.

To solve Cannot insert object problem you need to change the version() attribute in your .odl file to reflect the current state of the _wVerMajor and _wVerMinor variables at compile-time, or you can also modify the registry entry HKCR\TypeLib\<Your TypeLib>\X.Y, where X and Y represent your major and minor version numbers respectively.

I have try to do the above mention things but was not able to fix cannot insert object error message i have also try to uninstall the application but still getting same message and i don't think so formatting Windows would solve my problem. Is there any alternative solution to overcome from this error message.

My friend was also getting same error message i told him to make some changes with mscal.ocx by run menu 'regsvr32 C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\MSCAL.OCX' and from then he is not getting Cannot insert object error message again.it might happen that in some machines it is in the 'system32' folder on others in the 'office' folder.
