From security point of view that can be fake installation and simply invitation for viruses and spyware if the site is reputed then no problem otherwise download and install flash player manually .This kind of software may come bundled with software that you want to install or may be included with downloaded Web components. as Unexplained computer behavior may be caused by deceptive software

just better to stop using internet explorer and use Firefox or safari which have the best option for security and more. this installation may plug some viruses so do not accept its installation. also make sure you have proper settings obtain http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc505863.aspx

I will recommend you to change your web browser. Try to use the latest version of Firefox. It is stable and does not has this kind of security issues. Some sites spread malware and they might promote to install new things on the system. Never do the same.Whenever you have any plugin update thing go on the official website and download the same. Do not just click on ok or allow the installation. This can install malware in your system causing serious issue in future. Try to run Internet Explorer on safe mode and then test back. This would resolve the issue.

There can be some add-on in your browser which is triggering the download. You will have to remove the same. The browser might work well on Safe Mode but when you switch back to normal you will get that popup again. There can be some toolbar or addons prompting you to install extra things. It can be a virus also. So here you can go ahead with removing the browser completely. Just remove it and the install it once again or just upgrade it. This might fix the problem. I will also not recommend you to install the add-on. This can create more security issues.
