horizontal scrolling moves forward and back in Firefox

Hello good morning everyone,

I have a problem with my mouse,let me tell you unfortunately it's a world's best mouse the Mighty Mouse.but there is something that mouse don't like with Mozilla Firefox.when I scroll horizontally, Mozilla (Suite) and Firefox would move the page forward or backward.the scrolling device is a ball rather than a wheel.am striving to scroll in perfect vertical direction.I would like to disable such annoying forward and backward features in Firefox and Mozilla

any help should greatly appreciated !!

Ok,many of guys reported the problem of mouse with Mozilla browser,each of them having different issues.i can help you since the problems mostly occurs because of following so put the same in the addressbar and check the following preferences
mousewheel.withnokey.action (value on my system: 0)
mousewheel.withnokey.sysnumlines (true)
mousewheel.withnokey.numlines (1)
Reset their values if necessary.

I had an issue with my mouse not exactly like yours but almost similar behavior.after a long hard time me installed a new mouse with more buttons, in doing so i was successful to have the extra buttons scripted to firefox.and if you are using a KVM unplug and replug the mouse to the KVM.

Can you append a condition in the sIFR replace function of the config file. if possible verify the browser by jQuery. for IE you can put wmode=window, else wmode=transparent
