MS Word documents not printing in color

I have HP Printer at my home. Well, the printer prints all the paint files, PDF documents and webpages in color without any problem but for some reason it does not print the Word documents in color. Why such a strange problem ? Can anyone explain me about this and suggest some ideas or provide the solution around this.....thanks

Do this --

Open Microsoft Word.
Check the Printer Properties when using MS word.
Make sure that the settings is not set to print in black only.
If it is set to print in black only, then change the settings to print in color.

Someone told me to update and reinstall printer drivers. Are my printer drivers which is causing the problem ? Do I really need to update / reinstall printer drivers....please suggest me for this

If the printer drivers were damaged, then you would not be able to print any kind of documents such as your Paint and PDF files which you are able to print successfully. I don't think the printer drivers are in problem in anyway, they seems to be perfect.

I agree with chroma....just do that. Hopefully your problem will get solved
