can hijackthis fix my dvd rom driver problem

I am using Vista on my computer & I am have lost the driver for my DVD-ROM device. I can't find that driver now...! I was wonder can hijackthis fix my dvd rom driver error code 39????

Firstly I will tell you why you want to use Hijackthis ??? there are many utility made for finding the driver for all the parts of your computer Just you need to search for driver detective or how to find drivers??? on Google...!

To solve Code 39 error, follow the below steps :

1. First you need to close all the running programs
   
   
2. Go to Start & open Run,
   
   
3. Now type "regedit" and press Enter
   
   
4. Now explore to the following folders :
   
   
   • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
     
     • SYSTEM
       
       • CurrentControlSet
         
         • Control
           
           • Class
             
             • {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
   
   
   
5. Now look for any of the following names in the right pane.
   
   
   • UpperFilters
   • LowerFilters
   • UpperFilters.bak
   • LowerFilters.bak
   
   
   
6. If any of the above keys shown are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete
   
   
7. After deleting, close the Registry Editor
   
   
8. Restart your computer
   
   
9. In my computer and it will happen if their units of CD or DVD is returned. check may also the coordinator of the devices and verify that the yellow exclamation mark and the code into the CD or DVD is gone.
