Use Action Script in Macromedia

I want to design some small gif animations for a web page. For that I want to use action script in macromedia flash player. But I am not completely aware of it. I know some basic command line for it. I need some simple examples by which I can figures out the different command lines for different work. If possible I need a complete tutorial of Actionscript with all command line interface.
