    Switch axis in excel 2007

There are four column in my worksheet. Column 1 for employee name, column 2 for employee age, column 3 for employee id, column 4 for employee address. I want to display employee name on the left hand site of the chart but I can only get it to display at the bottom. Any suggestions?

To display the employee name on the left site of the chart you have to change the chart type to Bar Chart, which has category like y-axis, x- axis.Select your Chart Area or right click on chart area and choose the option > Chart - Chart Type > pick Bar chart on the left.

What type of chart? In general, if you put the Y value columns (employee age or employee address) in the worksheet to the right of the X value columns, Excel arranges the chart the way you want. You can also change the axis by right clicking on the graph and choose source data, series tab, swap the ranges in the boxes of the X Values: and Y Values: , click ok button to finalize.

There is another method to change X and Y axis position in chart. Right click on the chart Select "Source Data" from the list. Then select elect "Series". In the series you can make changes or swap the values and position of x and y axis.
