TVT Schedular Service

I am using Lenovo laptop & is working slow when i went to the processes to see which of the file is taking the highest CPU Usage. I found that a process name tvtsched.exe file is consuming the highest part of CPU usage. I don't know what the file is for & also don't know weather to delete or not....????

The file is located at the following place C:\Program Files\Common Files\Lenovo\Scheduler this may help what it is for....????

The file name tvtsched.exe stands for TVT Scheduler. This process Schedules application found in the IBM ThinkVantage on Lenovo laptops. the File is Located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Lenovo\Scheduler\tvtsched.exe. the type of startup in that file entry is installed as a Windows NT, 2000, 2003, XP, or Vista service.

There are two methods to delete the service :

Delete the file using following command in a command prompt:

• sc delete servicename

Also you can use the registry editor to delete the service. The below example will show how to delete Angelex.exe variant:

The file is found on the IBM/Lenovo ThinkCentre/Station notebooks. Included with ThinkVantage System Update, Rescue and Recovery, Message Center Plus and maybe others. It's exact function isn't known but if disabled, the "plan updates" button in the IBM System Update software will no longer be available, though the software will continue run properly.
