Hi,

Anyone know what is Software Manager by Macrovision?

I found today morning that this program is installed on my computer I don't understand how it got installed?

Please help me is it a virus?

Well if you find a program that is not installed by you then it must be a complimentary kind of program which got installed when you install any program such programs get installed by default. What I can suggest you is just don't uninstall or delete it from your system since such programs may be a part of a program you need. Try to figure out if you have installed any new program recently? If you dont really need that program then uninstall the program first & see if the software manager is there or not?
IF it is still thr then uninstall it from add remove panel.

Hello how are i notice this program Macrovision that wanted me allowed to connected to the Internet started to show up for not reason there was no uninstall to remove it. That is not threat to my PC not a Virus i went to my Virus Firewall program where had it block, i look at the icon photo that was pointing to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\InstallShield\UpdateService. that got me wondering how to uninstall it. i look at the photo icon and mind look like a cosino icon took me to Ulead VideoStudio SE DVD/update it was used for my DVD. I remove the icon wanted to show was simple went to start icon on my desktop and goto run type in msconfig go statup look for the icon and uncheck the program, hit okay as you to restart your pc and it will not show up. it works for all windows 98,98-SE,ME,Win XP.Win 7
