I have a team which works across different time zone in
different shifts. I want to have a calendar for my project in MS Project 2007, which can understand the timezones for my different resources What should I
do?

There are four types of calendars such as base calendars, project calendars, resource calendars, and task calendars. You can modify these calendars to define the working days and hours for the entire project, for groups of resources, for individual resources, and for tasks. These calendars are distinct from the Calendar view, which shows the project schedule in a calendar format.
Agreed, thanks for your reply
But my query is different
let me give you an example:
I have Mr. X who works in US and will work from 8:00 AM EST to 5:00 PM EST
And I have Task 1 which has a Finish time of 1st May 09 5 PM (Please note I have my Project Server in India which has the IST time zone)
I allocate this Task to Mr. X and being a very sincere guy he finishes his task at 5 PM EST on 1st May 09 which is 2nd May 0230 AM IST in India.
And thereby my project will start showing me a variance right away as sson the time goes beyond 1st May 09 5 PM IST in India, now how dio I solve this
Regards
PS
How will my Project Server understand
