How to Restore Corrupt Excel files

I usually use Ms Excel to record my regular information. I had made a file called Customer.xls for my regular day to day business. But now the file is not opening. I fear that it is not corrupted because i will lose my most valuable data. And i don't have any backup for it. It include all of my contact's information.
Is there a way to restore or extract data from Excel spreadsheet's.

Do the below step's it can help you to recover your file.
1). Close your spreadsheet & just try to open it again & if this don't work restart your computer and do the same.
2). If nothing happens , then delete the contents of your c:\windows\temp directory then restart. Try again.
3). Again if nothing happens, open Excel in Safe Mode Feature. This will disable VBA and Add-ins.

4). Click on Start Menu > Run > and then enter "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\excel.exe"
And open your file.

5). If again there is a same problem then scan your file for viruses.

To manually repair your file follow the procedure :

1. Click on Open in File Menu.
2. When the Open Dialog box appear, select your file & click on the arrow next to the Open Button.
3. Then click on Open & Repair. Then Click either on Repair or Extract.

Hi !

You can recover your corrupted Excel files using third part data recovery software. Such a good Excel file recovery software is Kernel for Repair Microsoft Excel software.I have used it few months ago. It works really good.
