Windows Media Center disappeared with uninstallation of Vista Transformation Pack

I have a windows media center on my PC. I installed vista transformation pack. Then as it slowed down my PC I uninstalled the pack. But then my windows media center in the "start" disappeared.

Can someone help me how to get it back?

    Four possibilities:
    • Search the program via Start: Search
    • Insert your XP installation CD, and install Media Center from there
    • Search in your main hard drive if there's no folder in Program Files
    • If there is nothing, try restoring the system.

    1. Go to "Start"
    2. Click on "Default Programs"
    3. Then click the "Set Program Access and Computer Defaults"
    4. Now click on the "custom" bubble.
    5. Scroll down to "Choose a Default Media Player".
    6. Confirm that the "Enable Access to This Program" for Media Center and Media Player are selected.

Go to the Start Button and click on Search. Now type:

    %SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe

Two icons should appear at the top of the Start menu.

    eshell
    eshell.exe

Choose eshell.exe to launch Media center.

I have not yet tried your solutions but I will do that very soon.

However, whenever I plug a USB key (which contains some songs and movies), the pc is able to read it on media center, if I accept, media center opens.

So media center is there, I suppose, it works very well and plays my files without any error. But if I create a shortcut to start it, from there, it won't. I have to every time connect usb key to open media center, not very practical.
