    the "unsolvable" internet explorer issue

Hello all happy Friday. First time poster here.

Im having a very unique issue with IE8 on a client laptop that is running XP SP3. When logged in as a normal user with no admin rights when I open IE it opens but i cannot browse or pull up any web pages no error messages appear. If i login as Admin or give that particular user admin rights IE works without any issues. Ive tried uninstall/reinstall ive also made sure that the user had admin rights to the internet explorer folder and iexplore.exe and still cannot get it to work. Anyone else ever see something like this?

    Help

Could you try pressig CTRL-F5 while on the page to do a complete cache refresh, and see if that helps? Btw are you using the final or beta version of IE?

    Hey!
Did you configure any group policies on the user with which you trying to browse pages with internet explorer...!? Well IE8 is designed for Vista and and above OS. It is obvious that the users will need Admin right to perform any operations on IE8...! All the best...! The best solution is using Mozilla Firefox...!

Thanks for the responses. I went back to IE7 but im still getting the same problem. I tried the F5 solution with no luck and no i dont have any group policies prohibiting the user from accessing the internet. Its very strange.
